Under the nickname of Saskatchewan's Comet, Yvonne was an exceptional roller skater on the '90s roller derby scene.
But, one day, tragedy struck Yvonne's life and she lost her right leg in a car accident.
This didn't stop the tenacious Yvonne and she decided to train other skaters to spread her passion for this sport.
